How to Deploy an AI Assistant in Under 2 Minutes

You have better things to do than wrestle with Docker containers, reverse proxies, and SSL certificates. That is exactly why we built Homard Cloud — a fully managed hosting platform for OpenClaw AI assistants. In this tutorial, you will go from zero to a live, working AI agent in under two minutes.

What Is Homard Cloud?

Homard Cloud is a managed Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) purpose-built for hosting OpenClaw instances. Think of it as "Vercel for AI agents." You subscribe, we handle provisioning, updates, monitoring, and infrastructure. Your agent runs 24/7 on enterprise-grade Kubernetes with persistent storage, browser automation, and multi-channel messaging — all included.

According to Gartner, 40% of enterprise applications will feature task-specific AI agents by 2026, up from less than 5% in 2025. The demand for easy deployment has never been higher.

No servers to rent. No YAML files to write. No terminal windows to babysit.

The 3-Step Deploy Process

Step 1: Sign Up and Choose a Plan

Head to the pricing page and pick the tier that fits your needs. Plans start at $9/month for the Starter tier, which includes everything you need to run a personal AI assistant: CPU and RAM allocation, 10 GB of persistent storage, and full access to Telegram and web chat channels.

Need more power? The Pro tier ($25/month) doubles your compute resources, and the Premium tier ($50/month) is built for heavy workloads with browser automation and research tasks.

Once you subscribe, payment is handled securely through Stripe. No surprises, no hidden fees.

Step 2: Configure Your Agent

After subscribing, you land in the dashboard where a guided onboarding walks you through three quick steps:

  1. Name your agent. Give it a name and pick an avatar. This is what shows up in Telegram messages and web chat.
  2. Set the personality. Choose from presets like Professional, Friendly, Casual, Coach, or Professor — or write your own custom tone. The personality system uses layered markdown documents (SOUL.md and IDENTITY.md) that shape how your agent communicates.
  3. Enable capabilities. Toggle browser automation if you want your agent to browse the web, fill forms, or monitor websites. Enable heartbeat scheduling for autonomous check-in tasks.

That is it. Your agent is live.

Step 3: What Happens Under the Hood

When you hit "Deploy," Homard Cloud triggers a fully automated provisioning pipeline:

  • A dedicated Kubernetes namespace is created for your instance
  • Secrets, ConfigMaps, and persistent volumes are configured with your settings
  • A multi-container pod spins up with your OpenClaw instance, including init containers for config seeding, tool installation, browser setup, and skills initialization
  • A Cloudflare Tunnel secures the connection — no public IP addresses, no open ports
  • Within about 90 seconds, your agent reports "running" and you receive a confirmation email

The entire process is zero-touch. You never see a terminal, a Dockerfile, or a kubectl command.

The CNCF 2025 Annual Survey found that 82% of organizations now run Kubernetes in production — up from 66% in 2023 — and 66% use it specifically for AI inference workloads. That is the same infrastructure powering your Homard Cloud instance.

Connecting Channels

Your agent is live — now let people talk to it.

Web Chat

Web chat works immediately through the dashboard. Click the Chat tab, start typing, and your agent responds in real time via streaming. Every conversation is tied to your user account with full session management.

Telegram

Connecting Telegram takes about 30 seconds:

  1. Create a bot via @BotFather on Telegram
  2. Copy the bot token into your dashboard under Integrations
  3. Homard Cloud configures long-polling automatically — no webhook URLs to manage

Your agent starts listening for messages immediately. It supports direct messages with an optional pairing system: unknown users receive an 8-character code, enter it in your dashboard, and you approve access. This keeps your agent private.

Configuring Personality and Behavior

The personality system is one of the most powerful features of a managed OpenClaw instance. From the dashboard, you can:

  • Switch presets (professional, friendly, casual, comedian, coach, poet, and more) with a single click
  • Write custom tones using natural language descriptions
  • Set language restrictions to keep your agent responding in a specific language
  • Enable browser automation so your agent can navigate websites, fill forms, and extract data using a managed Chromium instance

Every personality change hot-reloads without restarting your agent. Sessions are cleared automatically so the new personality takes effect immediately.

What You Get vs. DIY

Here is what a managed deployment includes that you would otherwise have to build and maintain yourself:

  • Automatic updates — OpenClaw versions are managed for you
  • Persistent storage — conversations, skills, and browser data survive restarts
  • Multi-channel messaging — Telegram and web chat with session management
  • Browser automation — Playwright Chromium with all dependencies pre-installed
  • Monitoring and self-healing — pods restart automatically on failure
  • Security — private networking via Cloudflare Tunnel, encrypted secrets, no public exposure
  • Usage tracking — real-time cost estimates and billing period management

Curious how the different use cases work in practice? Check out scenarios like market monitoring, inbox triage, deep research, and price alerts — all running on the same platform you just deployed on.

The global chatbot market is projected to reach $27.29 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 23.3% — Grand View Research. Getting your AI assistant running today puts you ahead of the curve.
